TVN will co-produce, license, sub-license projects either already completed or contemplated for production. Priority will be given to projects developed and produced by Niagara based independent producers.
Contractual commitments will be made after the CRTC approves TVN's application to commence on-air operation.
Categories of particular interest include, but are not limited to, documentaries, both long-form and short form, dramas, light entertainment (music & variety), reality shows, horticulture, outdoor recreation, tourism, life-style, and talk shows or other categories of interest to TVN's audience.
Submissions should include storyboards, scripts, treatments, budgets, cast and director, where applicable.
Materials submitted will be kept on file by TVN Niagara Inc. whether or not they are developed, licensed or contracted. A self addressed envelope should accompany submissions if they need to be returned to the producer.
Proposals should include biographies of principals.
TVN Niagara may provide development or script funding, license fees, co-production agreements, facilities, air-time and other arrangements to allow Niagara independent producers support to commence production for delivery of new regional programming.
TVN will also license and provide support to Canadian independent producers nationwide as TVN's resources and primary commitments to provide reflections of Niagara are met.
TVN will provide 60% Canadian content to our overall program schedule, with TVN's prime time programming (6 PM to midnight) devoted to high quality Canadian production.
TVN's principal formats are digital 4 x 3 or 16 x 9 HDTV of high broadcast quality.
